Every Thursday South Mumbai Chess Academy organise Weekly Online Rapid’s Tournament for our Regular Group Class batches. In this edition, 45 students participated. This event is a big fuzz for all the students. It allows players to improve their game through experience and practice. WORT has 2 categories: “Champions” & “Challengers” and is held on lichess.org exclusively. The Champions’ category had participants who had been winners in the last Editions of the tournament while the Challengers’ category had relatively new players. In this tournament, we had 16 participants from the champions’ side and 29 participants from the challengers’ side.

Shlok said, “It was great to win as some players gave a tough fight and I enjoyed all the moments.”
His mother added, “As always an all-new experience with some new players it was great. We are very happy with the SMCA team and appreciate every member of the team for their online efforts during classes and tournaments and also for organising new tournaments always. We as parents are looking forward to our son participating in State level tournaments as well.”
This tournament not only excites students but their parents as well. Yuv mom said, “Thank you so much for organising these tournaments. My both sons just loved it. It’s great to be with Smca. I really like the way the classes are conducted, always on time and disciplined. He just enjoyed winning yesterday.”
