Tvesha Ashish Jain, a young chess prodigy, has captured the hearts of the chess community with her remarkable achievements. Starting her journey at just 3.5 years old, Tvesha has triumphed in over 80 competitions, recently clinching the title of U-9 Maharashtra State Chess Champion. Guided by her parents and coach Veeresh Tammireddy at SMCA Chess Academy, Tvesha’s dedication and talent shine through as she sets her sights on becoming a Grandmaster and representing India on the international stage. Her story is a powerful testament to passion, perseverance, and the right support system.

Every Thursday South Mumbai Chess Academy organise Weekly Online Rapid’s Tournament for our Regular Group Class batches. In this edition, 45 students participated. This event is a big fuzz for all the students.

The 20th Edition of the SMCA Chess WORT (Weekly Online Rapids Tournament) had an amazing turnout with an ample number of students from our Regular Group Class batches participating.
The Chess WORT being organised by South Mumbai Chess Academy for it’s Regular Group Class students has been a significant success. Students & Parents alike have loved the tournament and the format.
The 18th Edition of the SMCA Chess WORT was held on 11th March 2021 on Lichess.org platform. The competition, while challenging, allows players to improve their game through practice and exposure.
