The 16th Edition of the SMCA Chess WORT was held on the 25th Day of February 2021 on the Lichess.org platform and it had 2 categories: ‘The Champions and The Challengers’. The Champions’ category had participants who had been winners in the last Editions of the tournament while the Challengers’ category had relatively new players.
It had a total of 22 students of our Regular Group Classes who joined in from all parts of India to play the tournament. It has been an amazing platform for our students to showcase their chess prowess by competing with their peers & knowing where they stand amongst themselves. Parents love the experience that our tournament and coaching experts give to their children. “Advait loved the tournament it’s very challenging. SMCA has been a fun and learning experience.” says first-placed Advait Mittal’s mother, Priyanka Mittal. Advait added, “It feels great to win a tournament and is good encouragement”.
All of our students are loving the teaching experience at SMCA! Vallari Kini said that this Online Rapid tournament was his best experience so far. He said, “I am glad that I chose SMCA for my Chess Journey. It feels great and all my mentors have been helpful. I am very happy and excited and would love to participate in more such tournaments”.
