SMCA Stands Tall in Turkey Through Young Nivaan Khandadia April 29, 2019 SMCA once again continued to make its mark on world chess this time with our youngster from Pune Nivaan Khandadia clinching a bronze medal at the World School Chess Championships, which recently concluded in Antalya, Turkey.
Khandadia, from the Global Indian International School scored 6.5 in nine rounds in U-7 category and settled for a bronze. He is currently holding the record of the youngest rated chess player in India.
Our boy has also set a record of competing in 500 chess games, given his knack of participating in tournaments frequently.
With a podium finish in the competition,Nivaan has now earned the prestigious Candidate Master (CM) elect title.
